Pamela Trotman Reid, Ph.D., was appointed as the eighth President of University of Saint Joseph (formerly Saint Joseph College) in January 2008.  She came to the USJ from Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she was Provost and Executive Vice President.  She has also held leadership roles at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the University of Michigan (UM). Pam Reid earned a B.S. from Howard University, an M.A. from Temple University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Since becoming president, Dr. Reid has set the strategic vision for the University, including the institution of its first doctoral degree, expansion of the master’s program in education to a number of off-campus locations, and the reorganization of the college into the School of Education, the School of  Graduate and Professional Studies, the School of Health and Natural Sciences, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the School of Pharmacy.
